The Champions League round of 16 matchups have been announced, and there are some exciting games to look forward to!
One of the biggest clashes will see Liverpool take on Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Liverpool performed incredibly well in the group stage, winning seven of their eight games, but they now have to face a strong PSG team led by star forward Ousmane Dembélé. Liverpool’s own superstar, Mohamed Salah, will be ready to challenge them. The winner of this match will face either Aston Villa or Club Brugge in the quarterfinals.

Another thrilling matchup features Real Madrid against their city rivals, Atlético Madrid. Real Madrid, who have won the Champions League 15 times, recently knocked out Manchester City with a 6-3 win on aggregate. Kylian Mbappé scored a hat trick in that match! Meanwhile, Atlético have a tough schedule ahead, also facing Barcelona three times in the coming weeks. Whoever wins this Madrid derby will play either Arsenal or PSV Eindhoven in the quarterfinals.
In Germany, two Bundesliga giants will face off as Bayern Munich go head-to-head with Bayer Leverkusen. These two teams recently played each other in the league, and that match ended in a 0-0 draw. The winner of this tie will play either Feyenoord or Inter Milan in the next round.
Barcelona will take on Benfica in another exciting showdown. These teams played each other in January, with Barcelona winning 5-4 in a thrilling match. If Barcelona wins again, they will face either Borussia Dortmund or Lille in the quarterfinals.
The first-leg matches will be played on March 4-5, with the return games happening on March 11-12. Every team will be fighting hard to reach the quarterfinals and move one step closer to winning the Champions League trophy!
